Trenton Cold Storage

History of Trenton Cold Storage

Trenton Cold Storage historical photoTrenton Cold Storage was founded in 1902 by Eben James I in Trenton Ontario. The first facility was built at the mouth of the Trent River on the Bay of Quinte. This facility is still in use today both as a fully modernized 72,000 square foot freezer and as a production facility for two of North America's largest frozen food producers.  In addition, it serves as Trenton Cold Storage's head office.

Demonstrated in the historical timeline, Trenton Cold Storage has continued to grow from the first facility in Trenton Ontario built in 1902 to it's eighth facility build in 2002 in Edmonton Alberta, and will continue to grow.

The TCS Story shows the growth and development of Trenton Cold Storage since 1902 to what we are today:

  • Canada's largest temperature controlled freight consolidation program
  • Full service refrigerated warehousing and distribution company ranking top 3 in Canada by size
  • Family owned and operated with a "We Care" philosophy
